Best in Class: The Making of a Concours d'Elegance

Our team was heavily involved in creating this memorable documentary. Jon and Jeff were hired to direct the film. We worked together with the talented teams from Rogue/Hous, and with executive producers from Torque Media Group, the Audrain Automobile Museum, and comedian/classic car enthusiast Jay Leno. 'Best in Class: The Making of a Concours d’Elegance’ was set in Newport, Rhode Island, and provides a beautiful and fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the making of the inaugural Concours d’Elegance in Newport, capturing the grandeur and tradition of the event, and featuring some of the rarest and most prestigious automobiles in the world. But what sets this documentary apart is the storytelling. Through visuals, interviews, and narration, the heartfelt and emotional stories of multiple participants, from all generations, brings to life the captivating personalities that make a Concours d’Elegance so unique. The hyper-expensive cars and mansions soon fade into the background, as much deeper and more meaningful life stories emerge that connect with a much broader audience. We reveal and lift up the refreshing and perhaps surprising message that behind every classic car, there is a touching story more valuable than ribbons or trophies. We filmed this project in just a week, and edited the film using Adobe software and DaVinci Resolve. The film is available on Amazon Prime Video.
